In my residency I was asked to interview a little boy as part of a family evaluation. The family events were on the front page of the local newspaper. The parents had two children, and it was reported that their little boy abused and killed his sister.
I performed an evaluation of the little boy. We simply sat on the floor with play houses, vehicles and other toys. The little boy immediately took the cars and trains and instantly ran into a little girl and killed her. Whenever I changed the situation, he repeated the killing of a little girl in many different manners. He made loud musical sounds during the episodes. My supervisor interrupted the evaluation, and ended it prematurely. He had all the knowledge that he needed. He concluded that this little boy was violent and murderous. Killing his sister was not an accident.
